We welcome submissions from writers of all kinds of books – but please do NOT send us your whole manuscript without prior arrangement. Here is the procedure:
- Email a one-page synopsis of your work to mlm444@gmail.com
- We will try to reply within a reasonable time-frame.
- If we would like to read more of your work, we will ask you to send us the first one or two chapters or a representative excerpt, up to a maximum of fifty pages.
- Again, we will try to reply promptly, but please be patient.
- If we want to give your work further consideration, we will ask you to send us your full manuscript.
We offer two different systems of publishing:
- Venture publishing. This is where we undertake to publish your book at our expense, to make it available worldwide online as a printed book and an e-book, and provide as much as we can in the way of publicity and marketing assistance to launch your book and promote sales. Your title will then be added to the publications on the Bouley Bay Books worldwide list and will be kept in print as long as there is a prospect of continuing sales.
At this early stage of our company’s development, we are unlikely to offer you an author’s advance pre-publication, but after recouping costs or selling an agreed number of copies, we will pay you regular royalties on all copies sold. - Custom publishing. Where your book has a limited market, such as a family history, we will provide you with whatever services you may require to bring your project to fruition, including:
- Copy editing, consultation and final proof-reading.
- Design, layout and print
- Marketing, publicity and distribution
